2024 State Track and Field results for Wright County Athletes.

The 2024 state track and field meet took place this past weekend at STMA and many Wright County athletes and teams fared very well. Here is a look at some of the top finishers from Wright County Area. Congrats to all the teams and athletes that competed at the 2024 State Track and Field meet.

Howard Lake WW.

Girls: Maddie LeSage finished 2nd in the 800 and 2nd in the 1600.

Boys: As a team the Lakers finished 3rd in the state in 1A. Cam Jones took 2nd in the 200, Hayden Brown captured first in 110 meter hurdles and the 4×100 team(Brown, Bruce Burau, Jones and Timmy Webber) finished 2nd.

HLWW, above, had their best finish in school history, finishing 3rd in the state.

Rockford.

Boys: The Rockets finished 3rd in the state as a team, while Brian Schloeder won the Pole Vault and Josiah Zilmer took home first in the Discus.

Annandale.

Boys: Sal Wirth won the 3200 and took 3rd in the 1600.

Sal Wirth, above, took home his first state title in the 3200.

Monticello.

Boys: Ty Brouwer was 7th in the 800, while the 4×200 relay team of (Gus Staryszak, Alvin Bropleh, Luke Emmerich and Jack Geislinger.) finished 5th.

Girls: Sasha Steinbach finished 2nd in the 100 and 6th in the 200. Isabella Angell was 3rd in the Wheelchair 100, and 2nd in the 200. Emelia Skistad was 2nd in the 200, and 6th in the 100. Kaela Skistad finished 2nd in the 400. Isabella Mahoney was 3rd in the 1600 and 2nd in the 3200. The 4×200 Relay team set a state record with a time of 1:34.43. The team was made up by The Skistad’s, Steinbach and Kacie Lilledahl. As a team the Magic finished 3rd in class AA.

Monticello, above, took home third place at the state meet last weekend at STMA.

STMA.

Boys: Tate Songstad was 6th in the 400. The 4×200 relay team(Songstad, William Barthel, Mav Kneefe and Muhiz Bada) finished 3rd.

Girls: As a team STMA finished 3rd. Gabby Keefer took 2nd in the 100, 3rd in the 200, and 2nd in the triple jump. Emma Kvant finished 2nd in the 200, and won the 400., Jackie Bergeron took second in the Pole Vault. The 4×200 relay team took 1st.(Kvant, Bergeron, Keefer and Claire Kvant.)

Buffalo.

Boys: Saul Rhodes, 6th in the 100.
