Today (Wednesday) marks the conclusion of the 76th annual Cokato Corn Carnival.
Last night, attendees enjoyed a beautiful evening for the annual royalty coronation. The new Miss Cokato is Emma Stanley, and the new Cokato Princess is Eva Borg.
Today, (Wednesday) events include the exhibits at the Cokato Museum and Akerlund Photo Studio, fun on the midway with a children’s prize giveaway, the annual book sale sponsored by the Friends of the Cokato Library, bingo in the park, free corn-on-the-cob at Peterson Park from 4 to 8 PM, entertainment from the Mid-Minnesota Concert Band at 6:30 PM, and on stage at 7:30 PM, it’s music from “Airborne Attraction,” followed at 8:15 by “Cowboys in Sneakers.”
At 10 PM, the prize drawings will be held, including the annual drawing for a new vehicle and various cash prizes will be held. This year’s car is a 2025 Ford Escape. Following the vehicle drawing, the cash prize drawings for 25-hundred, 15-hundred and 1 thousand dollar prizes, along with seven $100 alternate prizes.
Most events today and through the Corn Carnival are held in Cokato’s Peterson Park.
