Holiday weekend travelers who are in their cars are getting a break at the pump compared to last year.
Although gas prices are up a few cents per gallon from a month ago in Minnesota, prices are down from the 4th in 2024. AAA says Minnesota average gas prices are at about $3.01 per gallon, up from $2.96 per gallon a month ago, but down from an average $3.32 last year during the holiday travel period, and down from $3.44 in 2023.
The average gas price throughout the metro area is currently $3.03 per gallon, while Wright County’s current average price at the pump is $3.01 per gallon according to AAA. An unofficial survey of gas prices throughout Wright County show that a number of stations are under 3 dollars per gallon.
