The community of Monticello joins the annual summer celebration season tonight (Friday) with many events at the annual Monticello Riverfest. Tonight is a family fun night at the Monticello Pioneer Park.
Activities include a classic car show, the Home Depot Kids’ Building Clinic, a Wright County Sheriff’s Office Canine Show, a petting zoo and pony rides, food concessions, kids’ games, a pie eating contest and bounce houses. KRWC’s Roadshow will also entertain with games and great prizes.
The events run from 5 to 8 PM tonight, with Riverfest activities continuing through the weekend.
Other options for Riverfest fun tonight (Friday) include the annual Talent Show at the Monticello High School at 7 PM, followed by an amazing fireworks show around dusk, at approximately 10 PM at the Monticello High School Grounds.
