The 2025 Fall Sports season is here! Once again AM 1360 KRWC and krwc1360.com will have all the best Wright County Area sports coverage. Today we are focusing on Girls Swim and Dive and Girls Tennis. Below is some of the key story lines for the 2025 Fall Sports season. Good luck to all teams and athletes this fall.

Girls Swim and Dive.

Adalyn them up.

There is one dominant swimmer in the state of Minnesota, and that is Jr. Adalyn Beigler from Monticello. Biegler won and set records in both the 50 free and 100 free last year at the state swim and dive meet and has only gotten stronger. She still has two years left but get to a pool near year before it’s too late, because she is something special.

Adalyn Biegler, above, is one of the top Swimmers in the country.

Speaking of Monticello swimming…..

As a team the Magic finished third at the state tournament are one of the favorites to win the whole thing! They return a strong nucleus led by Biegler, and Jr., Scarlett Urick who finished ninth in the 200 IM and 100 fly last fall. Elle Vagle is also back after finishing 8th in the 50 free, and 5th in 100 free, and if that isn’t enough, Jr. Chloe Schweitering is back after finishing in the top five of one-meter dive.

The Monticello Magic Swim and Dive team took third place last year at the state meet and are one of the favorites to win the whole thing this fall.

Delano will be interesting.

Delano finished fourth last year at state and loses a lot but is still an intriguing team. The Tigers who won the WCC last season return Kaia Georges, a Sr. who finished 9th in the 50 free, and 10th in the 100 free. Emma Ristau, a So. is back after finishing 12th in the 50 free last fall, so the cupboard is certainly not bear in Delano.

It’s usually a tough night for the opponent when they swim at Delano’s pool, above.

Knights in flux.

Lilly Van Heel dominated in the pool for the Knights, including finishing second in the 200 IM last season, but now has graduated and taken her talents to college. Van Heel wasn’t the only senior lost from last season’s team, but certainly the most impactful. The good news for STMA is Addison Thompson-Klimpke returns, after finishing strong at last year’s Section 8 and state tournament.

Lilly Van Heel, one of the best STMA swimmers in school history is off to swim for the Gophers this fall.

Girls Tennis.

A lot of question marks.

The biggest question is who’s back? The top two tennis players in the area graduated last fall. Avery Gagnon from Annandale (8AA) and Kaitlyn Pink from Delano (5AA) both reached state last fall but exhausted their eligibility and will not return. So, who carries the mantle now? How about Samantha Voll, yes that Samantha Voll who just accepted a scholarship to St. Thomas to play basketball but is also the #1 singles for Monti. The Magic also return, #2 singles, Madyln Barrow, and #3 Eve Nygaard. Buffalo also has Lauren Berg back, a Senior who has been #1 singles the last three years for the Bison, along with the doubles team of Julia DeChene and Evie Lubben, both seniors.

The Monticello Magic, above, celebrate an early season win over Buffalo this past week.
