This past weekend at the Xcel Energy Center, the Wright County Area sent thirty-six wrestlers to the state tournament and took home seven state championships, including the first in STMA girls wrestling. On the team side, STMA won their 11th state championship and their second straight Class AAA title. Below are all the results from Wright County Area athletes at the state tournament. Annandale/Maple Lake:
Cassen Brumm, 121, 0-1.
Nathan Klatt, 215, 4-1, 3rd place, defeated Justin Holbrink from Scott West in 3rd place match, 4-1.
Howard Lake WW:
Ryker Clobes, 107, 0-1.
Raydon Graham, 127, 3-1, finished 2nd in state, losing to Titan Friederichs from Watertown Mayer, 17-1.
Tony Baumann, 145, 0-1.
Matthew Busse, 215, 0-1.
Delano:
Tate Olson, 145, 1-1.
STMA:
Landon Thoennes,107, 3-0, won state championship over Ethan Phanmanivong from Shakopee, 1-0.
Eli Schultz, 114, 3-1, finished second, losing to Dylan St. Germain from Eagan, 7-4 in finals.
Grant Bergeron, 121, 3-1, finished second, losing to Lawson Eller from New Prague, 7-0.
Brody Bergeron, 127, 4-2.
Lincoln Robideau, 133, 4-0, won state title over Trey Beissel from Hastings in SV, 4-1.
Tanner Becker, 139, 0-1.
Tyson Newman, 145, 1-1.
Joe Scully, 152, 0-1.
Landon Robideau 160, 4-0, won state title over Kyle Walters from Shakopee by tech fall, 21-6. It was Robideau’s fourth state championship.

Jarrett Wadsen, 172, 3-1, finished second to Jackson Barron from Shakopee, 4-3.
John Murphy, 189, 4-0, won state title over Sutton Kenning from St. Cloud Tech, 13-11. It was Murphy’s second straight state championship, and he rallied from a 6-1 deficit.
Phil Harris, 215, 0-1.
Buffalo:
Gabe Roehl, 121, 2-2.
Ryan Babatz, 3-1, lost in state championship to Cole Will from Eagan, 7-5, and finished second at state. Babatz came into the tournament unseeded.
Monticello:
Peyton Ruzicka, 0-1.
Becker:
Boston Kuschel, 121, 3-1, took third place over Aiden Carlson from Mahtomedi, 12-10.
Nolan Jurek, 127, 0-2.
Bennett Kujawa, 145, 2-2.
Landon Kujawa, 145, took home state championship with win over Aiden Grainer from PEM, 8-1.

Kaden Nicolas, above #1, took home his second state championship on Saturday.
Kaden Nicolas, 152, won state championship over Raydon Bipes from Hutch, 12-8.
Brayden Boots, 160, 0-1.
Owen Angell, 172, 3-2.
Girls.
Annandale/ML:
Abby Gindele, 118, 2-1, finished third by defeating Trista Gessker from TCU, 18-1.
STMA:
Ava Schultz,106, 2-1, finished second to Azalea Kallal from New Prague, 4-1.
Emma Antoni, 136, 3-0, won state championship with pin of Hattie Mathre from Byron. With the win Antoni became the first female state champion in STMA history, and did it in dominating fashion, winning to by pin, and the other match, 16-0.
