Valentine’s Day will have another major event for 2026. The Buffalo Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 8th annual Kites on Ice Festival on Buffalo Lake.
The event features incredible displays of giant show kites of every size, shape and color soaring over the lake and the Sturges Park area.
The one-of-a-kind festival features professional kite flyers from Minnesota and across the Midwest, and runs from 11 AM to 3 PM.
In addition to the spectacular kites, numerous other events including dog sled rides, food trucks, a beer garden, a cornhole tournament and a pond hockey tournament. Plus, visitors can shop, dine and enjoy refreshments in the downtown Buffalo area. New this year, free shuttle buses will run from Bentfield Mills Park.
