Five people including a State Trooper and a juvenile were injured in two crashes on Highway 10 in Clear Lake Wednesday evening, stemming from a wrong-way driver.
The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office reported that shortly after 9 PM Wednesday, 911 calls began to come in reporting a driver going the wrong way on Highway 10. Moments later, the wrong-way driver’s car collided with another vehicle near 70th Avenue. A State Trooper who was responding to the crash, then also collided with one or both other vehicles.
Officials say a juvenile was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the State Trooper had non-life threatening injuries. Three others were also reported to have been injured.
No names have yet been released of the persons involved in the crash, and authorities say they will release further information as details from the investigation are gathered.
