One of the final community celebrations of the summer continues today in the community of Dassel in neighboring Meeker County.
The 66th Annual Red Rooster Days is continuing today with events that include a 7-mile and an 18-mile bike ride, a petting zoo, and the Grande Day Parade. A pie social and silent auction will follow the parade. Enjoy waterball at 5 PM, and the Dassel Ambassador coronation will be held at 6 PM at the Saints Field.
Other big events through the weekend include a community worship service, brat and burger feed, fireworks, a classic car show, the Red Rooster Run / Walk, and the largest chicken bar-b-que in the state on Labor Day Monday.
