One of the final community celebrations of the summer opens today in the community of Dassel in neighboring Meeker County. The 66th Annual Red Rooster Days opens today, and runs through Labor Day.
Friday events include the Dassel Farmer’s Market at the bandstand park.
Other big events through the weekend include a parade, ambassador coronation, brat feed, fireworks, a classic car show, and the largest chicken bar-b-que in the state on Labor Day Monday.
