The State Patrol has issued a few more details on a Monday afternoon traffic crash involving a passenger vehicle and a school bus in Monticello Township.
Authorities say around 12:40 PM, a passenger vehicle collided with a school bus serving the Monticello School District. The crash happened in the vicinity of Highway 25 and Wright County Road 37.
State Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow told KRWC Radio News that on students were no the bus at the time of the crash.
The driver of the passenger vehicle reportedly sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated an area hospital. The driver of the bus was not injured. The names of the drivers were not released.
Officials say both vehicles were towed from the scene. Traffic in the area was re-routed for a significant amount of time to allow for crash investigation and clearing of the crash scene.
