Funeral services are set for Saturday for a longtime Annandale area resident, and former KRWC Radio personality. Marvel Winn passed away January 13th at the age of 98.
Marvel was born in Gary, South Dakota. Her family moved to Minneapolis, where she graduated from South High School in 1943.
Marvel’s husband, John was in the U-S Marines, serving in World War II. Marvel held down the home front during John’s service years.
Later in life, she attended Brown Institute broadcasting school, and worked in radio throughout her lifetime, most recently, as an on-air personality at KRWC Radio in Buffalo into her late 80s. She was also an award-winning marksman, master gardener, and great cook. She and John made their home on Clearwater Lake in Annandale for many years beginning in 1978.
Memorial services for Marvel Winn are scheduled for Saturday at 12 noon at the Bethesda Church in Prior Lake.
