Minnesota Adds 4,100 Jobs in December, State Unemployment Rate Drops to 3.3%

Minnesota’s job market and labor force continue to expand, and the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Security reported some better numbers last month.

MNN’s Brent Palm reports…

“Minnesota employers added 4,100 jobs in December, and the state’s unemployment rate dropped two-tenths of a percentage point to 3.3%. The labor force grew by 3,300 jobseekers and the state is also experiencing higher wages, increased exports, and notable business expansions across key industries. Employers in Minnesota have added jobs for six consecutive months. Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate decreased by one-tenth to 4.1% last month.”

The Minnesota county-by-county jobless numbers for December should be released in the next week to 10 days.
