*(Initial report of this incident was phoned-in to KRWC Radio around 2:25 PM Friday).

Emergency teams are on the scene at this hour of an apparent train vs. vehicle crash on the east side of Buffalo.

Eyewitnesses tell KRWC Radio News that officials are on the scene near the railroad crossing off East Highway 55 directly south of Ferrell Gas near a commercial storage facility.

Those on the scene tell KRWC that a number of emergency responders appear to be attempting to assist a motorist whose vehicle was apparently pushed off the roadway. A CPKC Railway train was stopped on the tracks. It’s unclear which direction the train was headed.

The traffic on Highway 55 is reported to be moving, but other crossings in the area may be blocked.

There is no information regarding injuries, or any details on exactly what happened. Crews continue to remain on the scene of the apparent crash.

Stay tuned to KRWC Radio for more information as it becomes available.
