Additional information has been released surrounding an incident in Buffalo last Friday afternoon where a car was struck by a train.
Buffalo Police Chief Pat Budke says the incident happened around 2 PM January 24th as a 2014 Chevy Malibu attempted to cross the tracks at a crossing in the 1600 block of Highway 55 East. This location is between the local retail landmarks of Target and Kwik Trip in Buffalo, and directly across from the Ferrell Gas location off Highway 55.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, 28-year-old Kenneth Blackley of Golden Valley sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash, and was treated at Buffalo Hospital.
The Buffalo Fire Department, and Canadian Pacific Rail Police assisted the Buffalo PD at the scene.
