Lung Association’s “State of Tobacco Control” Results Mixed for MN

The American Lung Association is out with its annual “State of Tobacco Control” report, and spokeswoman Pat McKone says the results for Minnesota are mixed…

Our smoke-free air law gets an “A,” and our access to services that help people stop smoking is, called access to cessation services,s also gets an “A.” We’re doing ok with a tobacco tax. We got a “B” in that category.”

Minnesota received failing grades in funding state tobacco prevention programs and ending the sale of all flavored tobacco products.
