One Injured When Two Semis, Two Other Vehicles Collide on I-94 Near Monticello

One man was injured in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 near Monticello Thursday morning.

The State Patrol reports that shortly before 9 AM, the pile-up happened on eastbound I-94 at Milepost 197 in Monticello Township. Two semi trucks and two other vehicles were involved in the incident, and authorities say the freeway was snowy and icy at the time of the crash.

Only one person was injured in the crash. 40-year-old Paul Oluwasegun of Monticello, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the Maple Grove Hospital.

The driver of a Kia passenger car, a 35-year-old man from St. Cloud was not injured. The drivers of the two semis involved, a 40-year-old woman from Pine City, and a 38-year-old man from Plainfield, Illinois, were not injured.

The Monticello Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance assisted the State Patrol.
