The Wright County Area sent fifteen athletes, along with Monticello, Dassel-Cokato, and Delano as teams compete in the 2025 Boys Swim and Dive State Tournament this past weekend at the U of M Campus. Below is a recap for all the Wright County Athletes at the state tournament. Congrats to all the teams and athletes that represented the Wright County Area.
Class A.
St. Thomas Academy won the state championship, while Monticello finished 10th, Delano 11th, and Dassel-Cokato 21st. Here is how the Wright County Athletes faired by team.
Monticello.
Gabe McDermott, One Meter Dive, 7th.
Sam Martin, 6th in 100 backstroke, and 10th in 200 IM.

Noah Miller, 14th in one meter dive.
Ethan Bad Heart Bull, 11th in 100 backstroke, and 14th in 200 IM.
Tyler Grue, 14th in 100 breaststroke.
As a team the Magic finished 6th in 400 relay, and 11th in 200 medley relay.
Delano.
Sam Daniels, 6th in 100 free.

Oscar Hoglund, 8th in 1 meter dive.
MacKay Hoglund, 11th in 200 free, and 16th in 500 free.
Henry Becker, 18th in 200 IM.
As a team the Tigers finished 11th in 400 free relay, 12th in 200 medley relay and 13th in 200 free relay.
Dassel-Cokato.
Dominic Borg finished 11th in 50 free, and 14th in 100 free.
As a team the Chargers finished 10th in the 400 free relay, and 12th in the 200 free relay.
Class AA.
Prior Lake won the state championship, while Mason Eveson from Buffalo took home second place in the one-meter dive. Here is how the rest of the Wright County Athletes did by team.
Buffalo.
