Statewide Distracted Driving Crackdown Throughout April

Drivers need to understand that multitasking behind the wheel is a myth. It simply doesn’t work. Distracted driving isn’t just careless. It’s simply selfish and dangerous. It steals lives and leaves others with debilitating injuries. The consequences are real and irreversible.”

Minnesota’s hands-free cell phone use law means drivers can’t hold their phones in their hands for any reason.

Officials say last year, distracted driving was a factor in at least 29 fatal crashes in Minnesota and is attributed to an estimated 137 serious injuries.

Here in Wright County, the organization Just Drive will mark its 10th Annual Just Drive Day in Monticello on Saturday, April 26th.
