Two people were injured when a passenger car rear-ended a truck on I-94 early Wednesday afternoon near the Hasty exit in Wright County.
The State Patrol reports that MnDOT trucks were doing traffic control for a vehicle fire on westbound I-94 around 1:30 PM when a Toyota passenger car that was westbound on the freeway rear-ended one of the MnDOT vehicles.
The driver of the car, 26-year-old Marco Vasquez of Albertville, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the Monticello Hospital.
The driver of the MnDOT truck, 55-year-old Tina Norenberg of Otsego, also had non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Monticello Hospital.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Clearwater Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance were called to the scene to assist.
