The Minnesota DNR reminds everyone that this Saturday, April 26th is another Free Park Day at Minnesota State Parks.
The DNR holds four Free Park Days every year, to coincide with the different seasons of the year. Visitors will get free admission to all state parks this Saturday, with no vehicle permits required.
The goal is to encourage families and friends to spend time together in nature. Research shows many health and wellness benefits to spending time in nature.
The first Free Park Day of 2025 was on January 20th. After this Saturday’s Free Park Day, there will be two more days in 2025, on Saturday, June 7th, and the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 28th.
Lake Maria State Park near Monticello will participate in the DNR’s Free Park Day on Saturday.
