Kids Code Coalition Minnesota continues to advocate for legislation that requires social media platforms to display a mental health warning label each time users access the platform.
Erich Mische, CEO of Minnesota-based SAVE, or, Suicide Awareness Voices of Education, says hope is just not an emotion; it’s one of the most powerful tools we have to prevent suicide and save lives…
“And that’s why we believe warning labels on social media platforms are not just a regulatory tool. They are beacons of hope and a clear signal that we are willing to confront what these platforms have become and fight for what they must be if we want to protect our kids.”
One study finds that 50% of parents felt their children’s mental health suffered over the last year due to social media.
