One person was injured when three vehicles collided in St. Michael early Monday afternoon.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports that around 1:25 PM a pickup collided with an SUV, which then collided with a Chevrolet Express van on Highway 241 at Edgewood Drive Northeast.
Officials say the Toyota pickup was westbound on Highway 241 when it struck the Acura SUV that was eastbound. The impact from the collision pushed the SUV into a secondary collision with the Chevrolet van on Edgewood Drive.
The only injury reported was to a passenger in the Toyota pickup. 52-year-old Chou Lee of Minneapolis sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
The driver of the Chevy Express van, 44-year-old Nicholas Malikowski of St. Michael, the driver of the pickup, 56-year-old Chieng Vang of St. Paul, and the driver of the Acura SUV, a 17-year-old female who was not identified, all escaped injury in the crash.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, St. Michael Fire Department, and Allina Ambulance assisted State Troopers at the scene.
