Watertown Woman Injured in Friday Traffic Crash in Kanabec County

A woman from our area was injured in a Friday afternoon traffic crash in Kanabec County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says that around 4:25 PM Friday, May 30th, a Ford F250 pickup and a Buick passenger car collided on Highway 23.

Authorities say that the pickup was eastbound on Highway 23 while the Buick Regal was northbound on Harbor Street in Arthur Township and was attempting to turn west onto Highway 23 when the crash occurred.

A passenger in the Ford pickup was injured in the crash. 82-year-old Karen Bloomdahl of Watertown had non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the Welia Health Center in Mora.

The driver of the pickup, 84-year-old Russell Bloomdahl of Watertown, and the driver of the Buick sedan, 44-year-old Jamie Mikush of Pine City, were not injured.

The State Patrol was assisted by the Kanabec County Sheriff’s Office and Welia Ambulance.
