Metro Area Man Injured in Tuesday Afternoon Crash in St. Michael

One person was injured Tuesday afternoon in St. Michael in a two-vehicle traffic crash.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports the crash happened around 3:40 PM on Highway 241 at Melby Avenue in St. Michael.

Officials say a GMC Sierra pickup was westbound on Highway 241, while a Honda Accord was southbound on Melby Avenue when the vehicles collided in the intersection.

Injured in the crash was the driver of the Honda sedan, 21-year-old Daniel Larkin of Golden Valley sustained non life-threatening injuries in the crash, and was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale for treatment.

The driver of the GMC pickup, 42-year-old Eric Hermes of St. Michael, was not injured.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office and the St. Michael Fire and Rescue also responded to the crash scene.
