The City of Albertville is advising residents of the area of apparent scam calls that have been received by residents.
City officials say they have been made aware of a person posing as a contractor leaving voicemails with residents stating they are working with the City of Albertville on building permits.
The City of Albertville indicates that it is not working with any vendors in the city in regards to any building permits. Anyone who receives such a call is advised to assume that the message is a potential scam.
Residents are advised to disregard the message, and be sure not to share any personal information with these unsolicited callers.
