Multiple inches of rain this month in most parts of Wright County has resulted in a significant rise in water levels on area lakes.
While during recent drought years the problem at local boat landings was low water levels, boaters in the area have had to learn to navigate high water.
Some landings, including the north access to Buffalo Lake have docks that are currently underwater. Similar situations were seen during the spring months in 2024, but by later in the summer, water levels had returned to normal, or had even dropped to lower than usual levels.
Officials urge caution when using boat accesses currently experiencing high water.
