A man is in custody following an arrest Wednesday afternoon in the community of Winsted related to a stolen car.
Winsted Police Chief Justin Heldt told KRWC Radio News that the arrest was made around 4 PM in the parking lot of the Dollar General store in Winsted.
Authorities say Lester Prairie Police spotted the vehicle which had been reported stolen from Detroit Lakes. Officers followed the vehicle to Winsted while lining up reinforcements.
When the vehicle pulled into the Dollar General parking lot, squads from Winsted and the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office surrounded the car and arrested the driver.
The man, whose identity has not yet been released, is charged with receiving stolen goods.
