Portions of County Roads 3 and 153 south of Highway 12 in Cokato will close for railroad crossing work later this week.
The Wright County Highway Department has been informed by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad that the temporary road closures are needed to complete track repairs.
The work is scheduled to begin Wednesday July 23rd with the closure of County Highway 153, and will continue with the closure of County Highway 3 on Thursday, July 24th. Both crossings will remain closed through Friday, July 25th.
There will not be a posted detour. Motorists are asked to use an alternate route. Officials thank residents and visitors in advance for their patience and understanding.
The anticipated schedule for the work and road closings is weather permitting.
