A man from Elk River is in custody after he allegedly fired multiple rounds into windows near the entrance of the Sherburne County Government Center in Elk River Saturday morning.
Authorities report that the incident happened around 9:30 AM. Officers responded to reports of shots fired at the building. No one was hurt, and the suspect, a 51-year-old man from Elk River whose name has not been released was taken into custody outside the building while he was reportedly carrying a long gun.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and access to the building may be limited until the investigative work wraps up.
