UPDATE:  The Wright County Sheriff’s Office reports that Evan Peters has been found safe.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Department is seeking help from the public in the search for a teen from Monticello who has been missing for more than a month.

Local authorities issued an alert through the Minnesota BCA this week for the missing teen identified as 16-year-old Evan Peters.

Officials say the teen left his home on June 27th, and has not returned. Peters had reportedly been communicating with family members until recently.

The teen is said to visit the Minneapolis-St. Paul area frequently, and is a self-described “urban explorer.” Such individuals often visit abandoned properties and tunnels.

The BCA lists Evan Peters as 5 feet 9 inches tall, and 145 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. Officials say he has tattoos on his hands, and a radioactive symbol on his right shoulder.

Anyone with information on Evan’s whereabouts is asked to call the Wright County Sheriff’s Office at (763) 682-7600, or call 911.
