A funeral Mass is planned for today (Friday) in Maple Lake for a lifelong resident of the community, noted Wright-Hennepin Electric Co-op official, and active St. Timothy’s church member.
Aloysius “Al” Elsenpeter passed away August 3rd at the age of 87.
Al was born and raised in Maple Lake, and was a 1955 graduate of Maple Lake High School.
He had a 41-year career with Wright-Hennepin Electric Cooperative, retiring from his position as Chief Financial Officer in 1997.
He was also a very active member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Maple Lake. He served in many capacities including lector, a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Men of the Sacred Heart, and was a past member of the St. Timothy School Board.
He also found joy playing music with his band, “Al Elsenpeter and the Key Notes.”
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Pat, their 8 children, 33 grand children and 24 great-grandchildren.
