Summer celebrations and events are everywhere in Wright County this weekend.The Maple Lake Chamber of Commerce welcomes gearheads from throughout the region and state to the 14th Annual “Gearhead Get-Together” today (Saturday).

The event is a celebration of everything automotive, and just about any vehicle or invention run by a motor from vintage right up to the present is welcome. The festival will line the streets in downtown Maple Lake and adjacent areas, and will run from 8 AM to 6 PM. Admission is free. More information at; www.gear-headgettogether.com.
The Buffalo Area Chamber of Commerce invites residents and visitors to downtown Buffalo today (Saturday) for the 42nd Annual Downtown Arts & Crafts Festival. Some 150 artisans will line the downtown streets today with works of art and craft items. Various food vendors will be in the downtown area, and most local businesses and restaurants will also be open. The event runs today (Saturday) from 9 AM to 3:30 PM.

The Buffalo FFA and FFA Alumni will once again be operating their “Sunflower Experience” this weekend at the Buffalo High School campus. More than three acres of sunflowers with an estimated 70 thousand flowers are now in bloom, and the public is invited to stroll through the sunflowers and stop for photo-ops along the way.

The field will be open today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday) from 3 to 7 PM. Visitors should park in the south parking lot at Buffalo High School. A suggested donation of 5 dollars per person will help to support FFA scholarships and a trip to the FFA National Convention.
