Two-Vehicle Crash Leaves Monticello Woman Injured

A two-vehicle traffic crash Tuesday evening left a Monticello woman with injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports that around 7 PM Tuesday, a Ford F150 pickup was northbound on Highway 25 at Mile Marker 66 in Monticello Township while a Chevy Malibu passenger car was southbound.

Authorities say the driver of the Malibu lost control of the car, and the vehicle collided with the rear driver’s side of the northbound pickup.

The driver of the Chevy sedan, 26-year-old Ashley Jampsa of Monticello, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the Monticello Hospital. Officials say alcohol was detected in the woman’s system. Authorities did not indicate whether or not that was a factor in the resulting crash.

The driver of the Ford pickup, 52-year-old Daniel Selander of New London, Minnesota, had minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, the Monticello Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
