Mini-van Passenger Injured in Two Vehicle Crash Thursday in Rockford Township

A passenger in a mini-van was injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Rockford Township.

The State Patrol reports that around 2:15 PM, a Honda Odyssey mini-van was northbound on County Road 14 while a Toyota Supra was eastbound on Highway 55. The vehicles collided at the intersection at 10th Street Southeast.

The only person injured was a passenger in the mini-van, 22-year-old Jonathan Winkley of Shakopee. He sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the Buffalo Hospital. The driver of the mini-van, 46-year-old Deborah Winkley of Shakopee, and two youngsters, ages 7 and 6 who were passengers, were not injured.

The driver of the Toyota, 42-year-old Tide Vang of Buffalo, also escaped injury.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Buffalo Fire Department, and Allina Health EMS assisted at the scene.
