Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday in Cokato for a Dassel teen who died in a car crash August 24th near Dassel.
19-year-old Nolan Henke was a passenger in a vehicle that ran off the road at the intersection of Meeker County Road 6 and 746th Avenue around 3 AM August 24th. The vehicle struck a telephone pole, and Nolan died at the scene.
Friends of the family say that Nolan was known for his generosity, bright smile and passion for mechanics. He is said to have always been the first to lend a helping hand. Nolan was a 2025 graduate of Dassel-Cokato High School, and was a member of the D-C football team.
A GoFundMe benefit account has been established in Nolan’s memory, and to help family members with expenses, and creation of a memorial fund.
A time to gather with the family will be held this evening (Friday) from 4 to 7 PM at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel. The Memorial services for Nolan Henke will be held Saturday at 2 PM at the Dassel-Cokato High School Performing Arts Center.
