Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday in Buffalo for a former Wright County government official.
Darla Groshens passed away July 27th at the age of 86.
Darla and her husband, Jack began their life together in Elm Creek Township near Jackson, Minnesota. Later the family moved to the Wright County area, and Darla began her career as a clerk in the Wright County Auditor-Treasurer’s office. She rose through the ranks to become the Deputy Auditor-Treasurer, and in 1991 was sworn in as Wright County’s Auditor-Treasurer, a position she held until her retirement.
After retirement, Darla and Jack split their time between Minnesota in the summer and Arizona in the winter.
Funeral services for Darla Groshens will be held Saturday, September 20th at 11 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo, with inurnment at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis on Monday, September 22nd.
