Friday, September 12th.

Football.

Buffalo 32, Bemidji 31. Grant Benson rumbled 54 yards to cut the Lumberjack led to one, before hitting Thomas Jordan for the game winning two-point conversion as the Bison won at home. Benson threw for 227 yards and rushed for 88, while compiling four TDs for Buffalo.

STMA 15, Wayzata 14. Wyatt Mosher scored two TDs on the ground, and Braydon Bohm rushed for 110 yards as the Knights picked up a much-needed win.

Monticello 48, Cambridge-Isanti 0. The Magic rushed for 267 total yards and QB Carson Deibele threw for 101 yards and two TD’s as the Magic overwhelmed the Bluejackets on Friday night.

Annandale 40, Foley 6. Michael Kovall, Braylon Fobbe and Noah Elam all threw a touchdown in the first has as the Cards raced out to a 34-6 lead. The Cards first team has now outscored their opponents 122-9 in three games.

Maple Lake 48, Long Prairie Grey Eagle 0. The Irish shut out LPGE to improve to 2-0 at home this season.

Dassel-Cokato 38, Jordan 20. The Chargers ran over the Hubman on the road on Friday.

Zimmerman 14, Delano 2. The Thunder limited the Tigers offense to only 140 total yards on Friday in their home win. Davin Clare led the Tigers defense with 11 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Holy Family 24, Howard Lake WW 20. The Fire, ranked #4 in AAA scored on a late TD to knock off the Lakers on Friday on the road.

Rockford 28, Milaca 8. Ty Dingmann and Jacob White combined for 126 yards rushing in the Rockets win.

Saturday, September 13th.

Volleyball.

AAA/AAAA Showcase at Burnsville.

For the second straight year, #2AAA Delano won the event going 5-0. The Tigers swept Kasson-Mantorville, Detroit Lakes, Grand Rapids, and Holy Angels, before defeating BSM in the finals, 25-19, 25-27, and 15-12.

For the second straight year Delano won the AAA/AAAA showcase in Burnsville.

Monticello went 4-1 at the showcase, defeating Burnsville, Waconia, Stewartville, and Roseville, before losing to Maple Grove, 2-1. The loss to Maple Grove ended the Magic’s ten game unbeaten streak.

Farmington Invite.

STMA went 3-1 at the Farmington invite, with wins over Winona, Waterville EM, and Andover. The only Knights loss came to Jordan.

Boys Soccer.

Buffalo 4, Brainerd 0. Reid Poser had a hat trick as the Bison remained undefeated.

Sartell 2, STMA 0.

Girls Soccer.

Buffalo 1, Brainerd 0. Emma Marzean shut out the Warriors on Saturday afternoon.

Delano 3, Jordan 0. Rebecca Rue picked up her 400th win as Delano head coach on Tuesday night in the Tigers sweep of Jordan.

Buffalo 1, Maple Grove 1. In a battle of two top ten teams, Owen Seestrom scored the tying goal early in the first half for the Bison and that was all the scoring as the Crimson and Bison played to a 1-1 tie at Maple Grove on Wed.

STMA 1, Hopkins 0. Titus Schmoyer scored the winning goal for the Knights, while Eli Schmoyer stopped eight shots to pick up the shutout for STMA on Wed.

Girls Soccer.

STMA 3, Hopkins 1. The Knights scored two first half goals and rolled from there.

Maple Grove 2, Buffalo 1. Josie Swenson and Lyric Burrell scored the crimson goals.

Delano 3, Holy Family 0. Caitlin Champeau (11), and Cassie Wegman (10) combined for twenty kills in the Tigers sweep.

Dassel-Cokato 3, Norwood Young America 2. The Chargers rallied from a 0-2 deficit to win the final three, including 15-11 in the fifth set.

Annandale 3, Glencoe SL 0. The Cards outscored the Panthers, 75-58 on the night.

Maple Lake 3, Kimball 2. The Irish won the final set, 15-8.

Howard Lake WW 3, Litch 1. The Lakers won a tight match over Litch, outscoring the Dragons, 99-91 on the night.

Delano 2, Monticello 1. Blake Moll made an incredible sixteen saves in the game, but it was the Tigers who picked up the win on Thursday.
