Remembrance Service Thursday for Kyle Erickson, Motorcycle Crash Victim

A remembrance service is planned for Thursday in Maple Lake for a longtime area resident who passed away recently from injuries he had sustained in mid-September in a motorcycle crash.

Kyle Erickson of Big Lake, and formerly of Maple Lake, passed away October 1st at the age of 36.

Around 6:30 PM on September 13th, the motorcycle that Erickson was riding ran off Stearns County Road 145 at 180th Street in Lynden Township near Clearwater.

Deputies dispatched to the scene found that Kyle had been thrown from the motorcycle as it ran off the road and struck a road sign.

Kyle was a 2008 graduate of Maple Lake High School. He had been employed by MP Nexlevel and was a member of the Local 49ers union. He had a love for the outdoors, including various motorsports, hunting and fishing.

The remembrance service for Kyle Erickson will be held Thursday at 1:30 PM at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake, with burial following at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Annandale. A life celebration will follow from 2:30 to 4:30 PM at The V in Maple Lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Kyle’s daughter, Aeverie, through the Aeverie Erickson Benefit account.
