A fundraising effort continues for a former Buffalo resident and Buffalo High School graduate who was recently involved in a severe traffic crash in Texas.
September 14th, Bailey Anderson of Buffalo, and her boyfriend, Sam were involved in the high-speed, head-on crash on I-45. Family members say that the other driver was traveling in the wrong direction on the freeway at nearly 100 miles-per-hour when the vehicles collided.
The family says Bailey sustained severe head trauma, multiple broken bones, and other critical injuries. She remains in the Intensive Care Unit at a hospital in Houston.
The family’s “GiveAHand” page says while there has been some progress, Bailey faces a long and uncertain road ahead, and will continue to require extensive medical care, rehabilitation and ongoing support.
The fundraiser has been created to help cover medical bills and countless other recovery expenses, as well as the family’s financial burden due to travel expenses, lodging, and numerous other financial concerns.
Bailey is the granddaughter of longtime Buffalo resident Ruth Schwanke. The family says any and all donations and prayers are welcomed and are greatly appreciated.
