Two Watkins men were injured late Tuesday morning when the vehicles they were driving collided near Litchfield in neighboring Meeker County.
The State Patrol was called around 11:50 AM Tuesday to the scene of the crash on State Highway 24 and Meeker County Road 34 in Litchfield Township.
Authorities say a GMC pickup was eastbound on Highway 24 while a Toyota passenger car was southbound on Meeker County Road 34 when the crash occurred.
The driver of the pickup, 60-year-old Anthony Fisher of Watkins, had minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.
The driver of the Toyota sedan, 54-year-old Jay Schoenecker, also of Watkins, had non-life threatening injuires and was treated at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, the Litchfield Fire and Rescue, and Mayo Ambulance were also called to the crash scene for assistance.
