Two Injured in Car vs. Pickup Crash in Becker

Two area men were injured when a car and a pickup truck collided early Wednesday afternoon in the City of Becker.

The State Patrol reports that around 12:45 PM, a Kia Optima passenger car was westbound on Highway 10, and was making a left turn onto Sherburne County Road 8 when it collided with an eastbound Chevy pickup.

The driver of the Kia sedan, 61-year-old Bruce Roiland of Elk River, and the driver of the Chevy pickup, 63-year-old Randy Laabs of South Haven, both sustained non-life threatening injuries. Both men were taken to the CentraCare Hospital in Monticello for treatment.

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, and the Becker Police and Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
