MEADA of Wright County reminds residents, and particularly parents and caregivers of teens about a free showing of a film based around the downsides of social media.
“Can’t Look Away” will be shown tonight (Thursday) at the Monticello Emagine Theater.
The film encourages parents and teens to talk early and talk often about the potential dangers of social media.
The movie will show how social media impacts teen mental health and choices around drugs and other dangerous activity.
A post-film panel discussion will include tips to help families use social media safely and in more healthy ways.
The free event will run from 5 to 7 PM tonight, at the Emagine Theater Monticello at 9375 Deegan Avenue Northeast, with free popcorn for the first 75 guests.
