Girls Hockey.
North Wright County 6, Chaska/Chan. 4. The RiverHawks rallied from a 4-0 defecit by scoring six goals in the third period! Kendall Ringat netted a hat trick, with all three goals coming in the third period. Piper Peterson scored the game winner for NWC.
Delano 6, Waconia 0. Violet Fobbe scored a goal and added three assists, while Kaeylyn Wittwer scored two goals and added two assists in the Tigers win.
Moorhead 7, Buffalo 3. Violet Huddy scored two goals and added an assist in the Bison loss.
Saturday, Nov. 15th.
Football. Class AAA State Semifinals at US Bank Stadium.
Annandale 36, Minneapolis North 20. The Cards scored first on a 19 yard TD pass from Braylon Fobbe to Colton Purcell giving the Cards a quick 7-0, but North scored on the very next possession to tie it at 7-7. Cam Ergen scored on a one yard TD plunge and the Cards lead 14-7 at the half. North tied it on the opening drive of the third quarter, but another TD reception on a middle screen from Michael Kovall to Purcell, giving Purcell two TD’s on the day, gave the Cards a 21-14 lead. After Isiah Turner scored on a 11 yard TD run, and the two point conversion, the Cards led 29-14. The key play of the game came on the next drive. With North on the doorstep of the Cards end zone, they never got there as Rylan Horsch intercepted an out route and returned to midfield. Turner scored again on a 36 yard run, and the Cards had it in the bag. Ergen carried the ball 22 times for 118 yards and a TD, while Turner added 97 yards on 13 carries and 2 TDs for Annandale. Colton Purcell caught five passes for 125 yards and Two TD’s, while Michael Kovall completed 5 of 6 passes for 76 yards and TD for the Cards in the win. On defense, Keegan Grube led the Cards in tackles with 11. J’Marion Sanders had six catches for 112 yards and a TD in the loss for North. Next up, Annandale will take on Waseca on Saturday in the state championship game at 1 PM at US Bank Stadium. You can hear the game at AM1360 KRWC, krwc1360.com and our app.

2025 State Girls Swim and Dive State Tournament at Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center on the U of M Campus.
Here are the final results for Wright County Area athletes that competed at the state swim and dive meet.
Class A.
Monticello.
The Magic took home the state championship, now let’s look at the individual results.
Adalyn Biegler, first in 200, setting state record with a time of 1:47.36, Biegler also won the 100 fly with a time of 53.30.
Scarlett Urick, 7th in the 200 IM, and 5th in the 100 fly.
Elsie Farnswoth, 6th in the 200.
Ella Vagle, 6th in 400, and 6th in 50 free.
Chloe Schweitering, 3rd in one meter dive.
Addy Zigan, 8th in one meter dive.
As a team the Magic won the 200 free relay and the 400 free relay.

The Tigers finished 6th in a Class A. Here are the individual results.
Kaia Georges, 2nd in the 50 free, and 3rd in the 100 free.
Emma Ristau, 5th in the 200 free, and 8th in the 50 free.
Mylie Pioniemi, finished 19th in one meter dive.
Maddy Mayer, 16th in 500 free.
As a team the Tigers finished 6th in the 200 free relay, and 8th in the 400 free relay.

CI State Adapted Soccer Tournament.
The Buffalo/Monticello/STMA Coyotes qualified for state at the 2025 CI State Adapted Soccer tournament that took place this past weekend at White Bear Lake HS. The Coyotes dropped their first game to Dakota United, 5-1, but bounced back in the consolation round with an 8-3 win over Stillwater/Mahtomedi. The Coyotes saw their season come to an end in the next round with a 5-1 loss to South Suburban, but what a great season for the Coyotes!

It was quit the sendoff for the Coyotes, above, as they headed to the CI State Soccer Tournament on Friday.
Tuesday, Nov. 18th.
Girls Hockey.
Litchfield DC 11, Pine City 1. Lydia Schultz and Alina Pollock each netted three goals in the Dragons win.
Delano 5, South St. Paul 1. Alaina Pettit and Sydney Connor scored two goals each in the Tigers win.
Centennial 11, North Wright County 0.
Thursday, Nov. 20th.
Girls Basketball.
Delano 74, Centennial 51. Addie Iverson scored 22 points and snatched six steals in the Tigers opening night win.
Benilde St. Margaret’s 79, Monticello 53. In a top fifteen matchup in the state to open the season it was all BSM. The Knights ranked #15 had four players in double figures, led by Pressley Watkins with 18 points. Samantha Voll with 19 and Addison Ruda 17 were the top scorers for #14 Monticello.
Elk River 66, Buffalo 28. Brianna Eggers scored 11 points in the opening night loss for the Bison.
Girls Hockey.
Mounds View 4, North Wright County 2. Kendell Ringat, and Piper Peterson scored the RiverHawks goals in their loss to Mounds View.
Boys Hockey.
Buffalo 8, Chaska 1. Nolan Rumsch and Braylen Dahl each scored two goals and the Bison outshot Chaska, 47-7 in an opening night rout at Chaska.
