Two drivers were injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash Monday evening in neighboring Meeker County.
The Minnesota State Patrol was called to the scene of the crash on Highway 55 and Meeker County Road 34 in Forest Prairie Township around 8:45 PM Monday.
Officials say a Mazda passenger car was westbound on Highway 55, while a Ford SUV was northbound on Meeker County Road 34. The vehicles collided in a T-bone fashion at the intersection.
The driver of the SUV, 49-year-old Ernesto Delgadovazquesz of Cold Spring, and the driver of the Mazda sedan, 50-year-old Perry Philippi of Eden Valley sustained non-life threatening injuries. The Cold Spring man was treated at the St. Cloud Hospital, while the Eden Valley driver was treated at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, the Watkins Fire and Rescue and Mayo Ambulance also responded to the scene.
