The state’s Energy Assistance Program is now able to distribute funds to approved households after a month-long delay due to the government shutdown.
Michael Schmitz with the Department of Commerce says Minnesota was allocated roughly the same amount as last season…
“112.7 million dollars in federal funds have now been released to the Minnesota Energy Assistance Program at the Department of Commerce. We did get our money and these funds are really important for households who need to get delivered fuels, to heat their homes.”
