Early December Snowstorm Drops 5-Plus Inches of Snow, Snarls Traffic Throughout Region

Another early winter snow event has much of Wright County digging out today.

Much of Wright County and areas of our region to the north and northeast received 5 to 6 inches of new snow, on top of some previous snow which has been falling with a fair amount of frequency since just before Thanksgiving.

The snow slowed and snarled traffic throughout the area for the Tuesday afternoon and evening commute, and plow crews will be out throughout the day today trying to get the roads back into shape. Numerous crashes and spin-outs were reported throughout our listening area late Tuesday.

Today, wind will be a factor, causing blowing and drifting snow in many places. A number of Wright County schools delayed the start of classes today. Stay tuned to KRWC Radio for the latest announcements, and visit the weather related announcements segment of our website at; www.krwc1360.com.
