Glessing Says MN Farm Bureau Will Continue to Push for New Farm Bill Measures in Early ’26

(MN Farm Bureau President – Dan Glessing)

With the month of December quickly coming to a close, the odds of any action on a new Farm Bill continue to decrease.

Minnesota Farm Bureau President and local farmer, Dan Glessing, says that the MFB will continue to push for changes whether they come in the last days of 2025, or in early ’26…

We’ll continue to push forward to try to get some of those policy changes that weren’t part of the Reconciliation Farm Bill if you will. If you think of the Farm Bill as a whole, about 80 percent of it was taken care of in reconciliation, but there’s still a whole lot of important stuff in the skinny Farm Bill and we’ll continue to advocate for that. In addition, we’ll continue the emphasis on trade that we continue to see in these trade deals the pen to paper that gets products moving, and not just announcements. We want to see the product moving so it definitely does help the farmers and ranchers.”
