Boys Hockey.

Delano 3, Monticello 2. The Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead after two periods, but the Moose stormed back to tie it in the third, with the game tying goal coming from Liam O’ Donnell with just over a minute left. In overtime Daniel Halonen scored his second goal of the game to pull out the win for Delano.

Holdingford 63, Maple Lake 34. Lucille Walton had 10 points for the Irish in the loss.

Monticello 70, Brainerd 49. Samantha Voll was the top scorer with 19 points in the Magic win.

Moorhead 70, Buffalo 68. Despite 27 points from Brianna Eggers, the Bison came up just short on the road against the Spuds on Friday.

Girls Basketball.

Delano 81, Marshall 77. #9AAA Delano defeated #2AAA Marshall in a Class AAA marquee matchup on Tuesday night, behind 23 points from Addie Iverson and 22 from Abbie Pietila.

Monticello 54, Becker 50. The Magic rallied from an eight-point deficit in the second half to pull out the victory over Becker. Addison Ruda was the top scorer for Monticello with 18 points.

Buffalo 57, Jefferson 39. Brianna Eggers paced the Bison with 22 points.

Annandale 80, Litchfield 55. Gabe Westman scored 16 points in the Cards home win.

Rockford 59, Brooklyn Center 51. Ethan Robran, Ian Faber and Mason Mooney all scored 16 points in the Rockets win.

Monticello 2, Princeton 1. Niklas Nelson and Brady McGriff scored thirty seconds apart in the first period and that was all the Moose needed in a 2-1 win.

Buffalo 5, Benilde St. Margaret’s 2. Cooper Dalbec scored the game winning goal off of a faceoff in the third period as the Bison pulled away late.

Litchfield DC 15, Prairie Center 0. Mya Iverson scored four goals with three assists, while Lydia Schultz added two goals and five assist in the Dragons runaway win over PC.

Boys Basketball.

Buffalo 89, Chanhassen 80. Matthew Jordan had a career high 32 points, including five threes, while Thomas Jordan added 27 points in the Bison home win.

Thursday, December 18th.

Boys Hockey.

Delano 3, Orono 1. Brody Geislinger netted two goals, including the game winner as the Tigers picked up a key section win over the Spartans.

STMA 7, Anoka 1. Braedon Waller and Tanner Esterberg each scored two goals in the Knights win. Esterberg has scored seven goals in the last two games.

Litchfield DC 5, River Lakes 3. Brody Berggren scored four goals in the Dragons win.

STMA 59, Chaska 53. The Knights rallied from a seven point halftime deficit to come back and beat the Hawks on Thursday night. Cail Jahnke led the Knights with 29 points.

Orono 79, Delano 46. In a battle of top ten teams it was all Spartans! Lexi Champeau was the top scorer for Delano with 19.

Boys Basketball.

Monticello 89, Princeton 55. Behind a career high 30 points from Hunter Miller, the Magic opened the Mississippi 8 conference season with a big win over Princeton.

Watertown Mayer 76, Rockford 70. Four players scored in double figures, led by Ian Faber with 19, but it was the Royals who picked up the win on Thursday night.

Becker 83, Delano 49. Vinny Lucarelli was the only Tiger in double figures with 10 points in the Tigers loss.

Gymnastics.

Monticello defeated Princeton with 141.4 points on Thursday night in a Mississippi 8 gymnastics meet. Defending AA state all-around champion Lauren Hanson won her third straight all-around competition for Monticello this season.
