The State Fire Marshal is investigating a major house fire in the community of Dassel on Sunday.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office reports that the emergency call about the blaze came in around 9:15 Sunday morning regarding a fire at a home in the 500 block of Simon Avenue in Dassel.
Smoke was reported to be visible coming from a second-floor window when authorities arrived on the scene.
Two persons in the home identified as the owner, 65-year-old Connie Pool, and 42-year-old John Klingelhoets were not injured.
Authorities say the fire is believed to be electrical in nature.
